I recently attended a CNY gathering, expecting good food, lively conversations, and a chance to connect. But as the evening went on, I felt something I didn't expect.
I was drained.

Not by the people, not even by the noise - but by the conversation.
For hours, the discussion revolved around work - colleagues, office dynamics, and everyday happenings. I kept wondering: Is this what people talk about? Is this how they connect?
I tried to understand if I was just being judgmental or if there was a deeper reason behind my discomfort. So, I reached out to Jeremiah Su, my co-host for Money and AI, and his insights completely shifted my perspective.
What followed was an eye-opening conversation about the employee vs. entrepreneur mindset, the role of workplace culture, and how leadership shapes the conversations people have.
