This week has been a whirlwind of emotions - some setbacks, some wins, and a lot of reflection. I believe in sharing the journey and the real moments, even when things feel tough. Sometimes, life throws curveballs, and while it's hard to catch them all, it's how we keep moving forward that counts.
The setbacks
1. Friendships
Losing touch with people who once meant so much is painful. I recently found out that someone dear to me has distanced themselves. When I heard the news, I couldn't hold back the tears. It's strange and disorienting, and to make matters worse, I ended up missing a filming session I was looking forward to.
I'm still processing it, but life moves forward, even when our hearts are still trying to catch up.
2. The election timing
I'll admit, I was a bit scattered and totally forgot to TP (take profit) on my shorts. Now, the market's at an all-time high - but hey, it's a paper loss, and thankfully, I'm on low leverage. So I'm holding, regrouping, and focusing on the long game.
3. The big "D" word
Divorce. It's a word that still stings. I've made peace with the fact that Ed is no longer in my life, but there's this lingering feeling I can't quite define. It's as if people keep leaving, and I'm left questioning what that means for me.
The good
1. Nas Summit is set
The Nas Summit is confirmed!
I'm excited but also a bit anxious about my topic proposal. I threw in a dash of AI and automation, hoping to bring something fresh. Fingers crossed, it's approved!
2. An invitation to Hawaii
Life sometimes has a funny way of balancing out the lows. As you're reading this, I'm en route to Hawaii with Chloe (@arigatoinvestor), Ken, and Kelly to meet Ken Honda at his retreat (you can watch the virtual version here!).
It feels surreal, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with such inspiring people.
3. Finally, posting videos consistently
I've been talking about video content forever, and now it's happening! With the help of Nas Academy to sharpen my skills and my trusty DJI Pocket 3, I'm finally posting videos regularly (click here!). Sure, lugging around extra equipment can be a hassle, but the results are worth it. Plus, we'll be filming in Hawaii! 🌺
