Courage
A mentor who changed my life.
Hey royals,
We may be closing the chapter on Women's Month, but the courage? That continues.
Last week, I attended the HER Courage Leaders Summit 2025 - a full-day experience of energy, empowerment, and elevation. From morning sessions to the Awards and Dinner in the evening, the entire day was charged with something more than just good vibes - it was real. It was raw. And it was impactful.
I had the honour of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) through the Royal Visionary Society and Speakers Society, a moment that marks our shared commitment to amplifying voices around the world. And as meaningful as that was, what followed touched me even deeper.
I reunited with Elim Chew - someone who had unknowingly changed the course of my life almost 8 years ago during a really rough chapter. At the time, I was stressed out with investor drama in my MediaTech company, and Elim, in a single mentorship session, gave me the kind of clarity I didn't even know I needed.
That's when it clicked:
"There's nothing in this world that is permanent. And nothing indispensable."
That realisation gave me the clarity I needed to move forward.
Those words changed everything.
In this week's post, I share that full-circle story, what makes a good mentor (and how to be a good mentee), and why the community continues to shape so much of what I build.

What makes a good mentor (and a great mentee)
Some mentors teach you business.
Some teach you character.
The best ones? They do both with heart.
Inside the post, I unpack what to look out for in a mentor - and how to show up as someone worth mentoring too.
Spoiler: It's about more than just asking questions.
And speaking of community... I also ran into my Rainmakers fam - a community I absolutely love and will share more about soon. (You'll want to hear this one.)
