I almost quit

(and what it taught me about growth)

Hi royals,

If you know me, you'll know I'm not someone who's shy. I've stood on stages worldwide, built businesses, and can hold a conversation with almost anyone.

But two days into a new community I recently joined - the BNI Affluent chapter, a Mandarin-speaking business network - I almost wanted to quit.

Why?
Because for the first time in a long time... I felt like an outsider.

The language barrier hit me hard.
It wasn't that I didn't like the people. In fact, individually, they were lovely, warm, and welcoming. But as a group? I felt like I didn't belong.

And yet, they made space for me.
They accommodated my awkwardness, even letting me use Seraphina AI to bridge the gap.

Learn how to make AI work for you

AI won’t take your job, but a person using AI might. That’s why 1,000,000+ professionals read The Rundown AI – the free newsletter that keeps you updated on the latest AI news and teaches you how to use it in just 5 minutes a day.

That experience got me thinking about the real meaning of community - and why I've spent the last few years intentionally building ecosystems that empower people to grow, collaborate, and thrive.

Because at the end of the day, community isn't just about where you fit in.
It's about where you can stand tall, grow together, and rise beyond what you could do alone.

I wrote all about this in my latest blog post - including how this lesson ties back to the communities I've built: Royal Visionary Society (RVS), Royal Launch School (RLS), and Speakers Society.

Three different spaces, but one unified mission: To help you shine individually and soar together.
