🎤 Want to be a speaker?
Here's what you really need to know first.
Hey royals,
Whether you're starting your speaking journey or already "established", here's a truth bomb you might need to hear:
Visibility is not an entitlement.
Let's talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough in the thought leadership space:
How you show up before the spotlight matters more than you think.
This week, something reminded me of a hard truth: You can be brilliant, accomplished, and still have blind spots that sabotage opportunities.
🧵 "Do you know me?"
Someone signed up for a coaching call.
Then came the messages:
"Do your research."
"You do know me, right?"
My team was polite. Professional.
Still, the tone was... off.
You applied. We didn't chase you.
If our system isn't for you, don't engage.
You want to get booked? Then own the journey, not the room. Nobody's putting a gun to your head. You chose this.
And humility? That's not optional - it's step one.
Here's the thing: I don't expect people to know who I am either.
But I make myself digitally available - across platforms, in full view. It's not about me being known; it's about being findable.
I'm not offended when someone doesn't know me.
I'm more concerned when someone expects to be known.
🌪 Public sentiment is a ticking clock
The internet doesn't forget.
We've all seen how public sentiment can turn overnight - and bring down even the most established.
Think of:
Founders who went viral for the wrong reasons.
Celebrities who couldn't read the room.
Influencers who thought follower count meant invincibility.
It's not just about being smart or talented anymore.
It's about being conscious of how you treat people, how you respond under pressure, and how you lead even when no one's watching.
We've seen giants fall - cancel culture is real.
The internet doesn't care if you're "certified". It cares if you're respectful.
So yes, be yourself. But don't mistake confidence for arrogance.
📲 "You can just Google me" isn't the flex you think it is
I'm everywhere online - not because I think I'm important.
But because I believe accessibility is power.
I want you to choose how to connect with me. LinkedIn. YouTube. Insta. Twitter. Even Beehiiv.
So no, I don't expect people to know me. But I make myself searchable.
That's how modern personal branding works.
🌟 Fame doesn't excuse entitlement
Let me be clear: I've worked with people who are truly famous.
Like:
Mohan Belani, co-founder of e27, has built something incredible and still shows up grounded.
Zheng Geping, a local celebrity and dear friend, who once gave me advice that changed my career trajectory during my "media girl" days.
Sophia Amoruso, my Business Class mentor, whose influence helped me shape what would eventually become the Royal Visionary Society and its flagship programme, Royal Launch School.
These are individuals with real accolades - and even more reason not to act entitled.
What do they all have in common?
Not humility in the classic sense, but a kind of grace in how they move.
A quiet respect for people and process.
🎤 You want to be a speaker? You're becoming a public figure

Entitlement trickles down.
When you show up acting like the world owes you, what culture are you passing down to your future audience?
If your brand starts with "Don't you know who I am?" - you're already in trouble.
🧠 Before you step on the stage
You don't have to agree with everything a coach says.
You don't have to love every step of the system.
But if you applied, it means something drew you in.
Something wasn't working.

So pause. Reflect.
If it's not a fit, don't proceed. There's no pressure.
But don't carry your ego into the room and expect it to be rewarded.
💎 You're not paying for me - you're paying for a win
I built the Speakers Society Accelerator not because I'm desperate.
But because I wish something like this existed when I started.
Could I do it for free? Sure.
But here's what I've learned:
People only commit when they invest.
If the programme gives you even one solid result, it's already paid for itself.
And if you don't trust yourself to win even once...
Why should I trust you with my time?
🤍 You can't skip humility
Whether you're a beginner or a self-proclaimed expert, the rules don't change:
✨ Be kind.
✨ Be grounded.
✨ Be willing to learn before you're heard.
That's what makes a real speaker.
And that's the kind of energy we protect in this house.
This isn't about being humble.
I'm not humble. I'm honest.
I choose not to be rude.
I choose to be kind where I can.
And I protect the space I've built with care.
Because one day, when you are the one others look up to, you'll want to have done it with intention, not entitlement.
